The show opens with the theme song "Bring me To Life" by Evanescence.
We are in the David Lloyd leisure centre tonight.
The GM of AOW, DOug Williams, comes out to the ring while the capacity crowd of 700 cheers. Segment 1:Doug takes centre stage with a microphone, he welcomes everyone to a new year in AOW (The biggest event of the year was last night and they start a new year in AOW after that event. Everything starts from scratch and even the championships are vacated).
Doug says that tonight the Board of Directors start searching for the new UK champion and his rightful No.1 contender, and the championship shall be decided at our first PPV of the year, Damage Control, in 6 weeks time.
He says that the Tag Team Titles will also be decided at that PPV at the completion of a mini tag team tournament, consisting of four of teh best tag teams the business has to offer
He then introduces the competitors of the first match of the night and wishes them both luck as the search for the new champion and No.1 contender starts.
Match 1: Singles Match JC Thunder vs. Joey Starr
Result= Good opening contest between a veteran of the business, Joey Starr, and the young up and comer JC Thunder. Last the last business year JC Thunder claimed his first piece of gold in a match where he defeated the Hardcore Champion, Mandrake. So this guy is on the hunt to feel the coldness of gold around his waist once more. Over his career Joey Starr has held two UK Titles and was once a Tag Team Champion, so tonight he was trying to show the youngling, JC thunder, why they call him a veteran.
But in the end it was JC Thunder who took home the victory after locking in the Rucksack (Chickenwing submission) and forcing Joey Starr to submit cleanly in the middle of the ring.
JC Thunder - 5 Points, Joey Starr - 1 PointSegment 2:We go over to the announcers, Bill Lightning and Dave Bradshaw. Bill notes that JC Thunder has a huge respect for Joey but Joey shows none back to any of the fans of wrestlers in the locker room.
Match 2: Tag Team Match - Semi Final Match The Leaders vs. The All Stars
Result= Some very good tag team action here with lots of highflying action from both standout teams. Over their careers The All Stars have held Tag Team gold on 4 separate occasions, while The Leaders are yet to hold onto Tag Team Gold. Many people say that The Leaders are the best Tag Team in the business but they just let pressure get to them in Tag Team title matches.
The match came to a very fulfilling ending when Zack Sabre Jr. and Matt Scrull connected with their Double Team Finisher, the "See Ya Later", on Steve Atel after they had dumped James Atel on the outside.
The Leaders - 5 Points Each, The All Stars - 1 Point eachThe Leaders advance to the finals of the Tag Team Tournament for the Tag Titles.
Match 3: Singles Match Andy Boy Simmonz vs. Joel Redman
Result= Another good match that showcased the talent we have here in UK AOW. The match went for a good 15 minutes and the pace never slowed once. Both wrestlers showed passion and determination to get off to the best start they could here by beating the other person. But in the end only one of them could walk out of here with the win and it turned out to be neither of them. After the two had taken the match to the outside they both took too long in getting back into the ring and they were both counted out by the ref.
Andy Boy SImmonz - 2 Points, Joel Redman - 2 Points
After the match the two shook each others hand and they both walked up the ramp.
Segment 3:Backstage we see the Bulldozers, they say that next weke they face off against The Thrillers in the second Semi-Final match up in the mini tag team tournament, to decide who faces the Leaders at Damage Control. They say that they are going to destroy The Thrillers next week and then at Damage Control they are going to "Bulldoze" over the opposition. They say that they ar ethe most dominant team in wrestling and nothing will stop them.
Match 4: Singles Match James Tighe/w Terry Fraizer vs. Mandrake
Result= James Tighe was at a big disadvantage in this match tonight, becuse Mandrake stands nearly a 10 inches above him and has alot more strength. Although at one point it seemed like James had the match in the bag after his tag team partner, Terry Fraizer, interferred in the match while the ref was distracted (Much to the enjoyment of the fans). But Mandrake soon tunred it around again and connected with the DevilDriver for the dominant victory.
James Tighe - 1 Point, Mandrake - 5 points
After the match The BullDozers ran down to the ring and took advantage of the situation the Thrillers were in. James couldn't defend himself and Terry found himself in a two on one situation. The Bulldozers then threw James out of the ring and connetced with their double team finisher, the Bulldozer, on Terry. They then posed before leaving the ring.
Main Event: Singles Match Jimmy Havoc vs. Pac
Result= There was a reason this match was the main event tonight, both of the men in the ring are former Uk Champions and both men were looking to make a statement tonight. They put on a heck of a show and showcased alot of the moves they can pull off. On multiple occasions these two hit their finishes on each other, but the opponent managed to kick out. The finish came when Jimmy Havoc tried to connect with "Nightmare Route" (Skull Crushing Finale), but Pac turned him around, connetced with an Electric Chair and then went up to the top rope for his finisher, the Shooting Star Press. Pac connected and won the match.
Pac - 5 Points, Jimmy Havoc - 1 Point
After the match Pac continued to beat down on Jimmy Havoc saying it was his time to shine. But Jimmy eventually turned it around to a huge pop from the crowd and threw Pac out of the ring.
The show ended with Jimmy posing for the crowd as Pac walked up the ramp.
