First Show Results:
We open to see Monty Brown arguing with DDP who should be the world champion. Monty calls DDP washed up. DDP calls Monty Brown a never was. Monty challenges DDP to a match, which is accepted.
Cruiserweight Cup - 1st Round Side A: Blitzkrieg vs Ultimo Dragon A very fast paced match, Blitzkrieg took it straight to Ultimo Dragon on the onset, getting him out of the ring, and hitting a quick plancha. However, Ultimo stayed tough, and countered a hurricanrana into a running powerbomb pin for 2. Blitzkrieg attempted to get a sunset flip, but Dragon rolled out of it and dropkicked him in the face. Dragon then quickly went for the Dragon DDT, but Blitzkrieg pushed him off, and went for a small package for two. Ultimo hits a release Dragon Suplex, then quickly ascended and hit the Cancun Tornado to win the match. Winner: Ultimo Dragon
Ultimo Dragon shakes Blitzkrieg's hand after the match, because of respect.
Cruiserweight Cup - 1st Round Side A: Billy Kidman vs Shane Helms Another fast paced match in this one. Kidman taking Helms off his game after reversing a powerbomb into a facebuster. Kidman quickly went for the SSP, but Helms rolled away. Helms went straight after Kidman, attempting to wear the guy down, but Kidman started to come back, with move after move after move. A Spinout Powerbomb got 2 for Kidman, but Helms got the advantage soon after with a quick Superkick pin for two. Kidman hit the BK Bomb soon after, but instead of going for the pin, he went up top, and went for the SSP. Helms dodged again, and hit a quick shining wizard to get the win. Winner: Shane Helms
Lance Storm vs Chris Harris Lance Storm goes for a test of strength with Harris, but Harris isn't having any of it, as he begins hitting Storm. Harris quickly attempts to put on the Sharpshooter, but Lance kicks him off. Storm comes back, and begins taking advantage of Harris, hitting him with a cradle piledriver to get a 2 count, but then locking in the Calgary Crab. The Crab gets a rope break, and Harris takes the offensive, hitting a powerbomb, and then locking in the Sharpshooter. Storm gets to the ropes, and Harris breaks and attempts to go after him again. Storm hits a quick Superkick and hooks the leg, getting the three count! Winner: Lance Storm
After the match, Harris grabs a chair, and smashes it into Storm's back, when Storm is distracted.
Yung Dragons vs Natural Thrillers The Yung Dragons took it straight to the Natural Thrillers, trying to get them off track. It was working, as Yang was able to small package Palumbo into a quick 2 count. However, the Thrillers began to double team both of the Cruiserweights, basically tossing them around. In fact, the Natural Thrillers were mostly dominant in the end of this match, as Palumbo basically kicked Yang's head off with a massive Superkick, to get the three count, as O' Haire just knocked the holy heck out of Hayashi. Winners: Natural Thrillers
Video Package on Goldberg, who will be wrestling next week.
Diamond Dallas Page vs Monty Brown DDP starting things off with a couple punches, but Monty Brown fires back, slamming DDP onto the mat. However, a discus clothesline turns the favor back into DDP's court, and DDP instantly goes for the Diamond Cutter, but Brown pushes him off. Brown goes for the Pounce, but DDP sidesteps that as well. Both men seem to have done research on each other. Both men go into a war, hitting big move after big move after big move. Piledriver by DDP gets two, but a belly to belly slam by Brown gets two also. DDP clotheslines himself and Brown over the top rope, and they begin to brawl at Ringside. They aren't paying attention to the ten count, as the count hits six, as they continue to fight. Brown dodges a clothesline, and DDP stops short of the guardrail. Monty POUNCES DDP through the guardrail, and both men are down as the count hits ten! Winner: Double Countout!
Both men get up, and continue to brawl, as Security comes out, seperating the two. The two exchange verbal words as we fade to black.
